    Frequently asked questions

How does the Flying Blue XP chart work?

Every flight falls into a distance band — domestic, medium-haul (under 2,000 miles) or long-haul 1, 2 or 3 — and earns a fixed number of XP for its cabin. Economy earns the base amount, Premium 2×, Business 3× and La Première 5×.

Do connecting flights earn XP for each segment?

Yes. XP are earned per flight segment, so a trip with a connection earns XP for both flights. Amsterdam–Paris–New York in Economy earns 5 + 10 = 15 XP one way, versus 10 XP on the direct flight.

How many XP do I need for Silver, Gold and Platinum?

Silver requires 100 XP, Gold 180 XP and Platinum 300 XP within your 12-month qualifying period.

Is the XP chart the same for KLM, Air France and SkyTeam partners?

Yes. XP depend on distance and cabin, not on the airline, so the same chart applies to KLM, Air France, Transavia and eligible SkyTeam partner flights. La Première is only available on Air France.
